Website & Search Presence | Malaysia

Websites and search visibility for doctors

When a parent or patient searches your name, your specialty, or their symptoms, what they find decides whether they call you. We build the website, Google Business Profile, and search presence that let the right patients find you, and trust what they see.

The short answer

Website and search visibility for doctors in Malaysia means making sure that when someone searches for you, your clinic, or the conditions you treat, they find accurate, credible pages that belong to you, not a directory, an outdated listing, or a competitor. It covers your website, your Google Business Profile, and how clearly search engines and AI tools understand who you are.

Purple Playhouse (Purple Playhouse Sdn. Bhd., Kuala Lumpur) builds this for Malaysian doctors and clinics, to the higher standard Google applies to health content and within the Malaysian Medical Council guideline on how practitioners present themselves.

Why search works differently for doctors

Patients look you up before they call. 77.2% of Malaysian internet users look online for health information. The doctor they find first is often not the most qualified one, just the one whose presence is easiest to find and understand.

Google holds health content to a stricter bar. Google says its systems give extra weight to experience, expertise, authoritativeness, and trust (E-E-A-T) on topics that can affect people's health, which it calls “Your Money or Your Life” topics. For those, content is expected to be highly accurate and consistent with expert consensus. A thin clinic page with no named doctor and no credentials starts at a disadvantage.

AI answers are now part of search. Patients increasingly read a summary from Google AI Overviews or a chatbot before they click anything. Those tools favour pages that state facts plainly and are easy to verify.

What we build

The pieces patients actually see when they search, built to work together.

Your website

A fast, clear site with a page for you as a doctor, your areas of interest, and your clinic details. Credentials written out in full, mobile first, and copy prepared for MMC submission.

Google Business Profile

The listing patients see in Google Search and Maps: correct name, location, hours, phone, categories, and photos, kept consistent with your website and other listings.

Search & AI-answer visibility

Technical fixes, page titles, and structured data that tell Google and AI tools exactly who you are, what you treat, and where you practise.

Pages that answer patient questions

Articles built around the questions patients and parents type into search, written in your voice and checked by you before anything goes live.

Website and search presence is one of three things we build for doctors, alongside content and personal branding and clinical workflow automation with Catat.

Built inside the MMC rules

A doctor's website is not a normal business website. The Malaysian Medical Council Guideline: The Dissemination of Information by Medical Professionals Including on Social Media, V2/2025 shapes what goes on it. Three provisions matter most for a site build:

Common questions

Do clinic websites in Malaysia need MMC approval?

MMC Guideline V2/2025, section 4.17.3, states that the contents of a practitioner's website must be submitted to the Board for prior approval. We plan for this from the start: copy is written so it can be submitted, and approval is built into the timeline rather than discovered at launch. General information, not legal advice.

Can you guarantee my clinic will rank first on Google?

No, and nobody can honestly promise that. Google decides rankings, and for health topics it applies a stricter quality bar than for most subjects. What we can do is remove the reasons Google has to doubt you: thin or unclear pages, missing credentials, technical errors, and an incomplete Google Business Profile. Then we build pages that answer what patients actually search for.

What is a Google Business Profile and why does it matter for a doctor?

It is the free listing that appears in Google Search and Google Maps when someone looks up your name, your clinic, or a specialist near them. It shows your location, hours, phone number, reviews, and a link to your site. For many patients it is the first thing they see, before your website.

How do I show up in AI answers like Google AI Overviews or ChatGPT?

AI tools draw on pages that state facts plainly and are easy to verify. That means clear answers near the top of a page, your name, qualifications and registration written out in full, consistent clinic details across the web, and structured data that tells machines who you are. These are the same foundations that help in normal search, so the work overlaps.

I already have a website. Do I need a new one?

Not necessarily. Many doctor websites only need clearer pages, proper credentials, technical fixes, and content that answers patient questions. We start with a free audit of how you show up today and only recommend a rebuild if the existing site is holding you back.

How do we get started?
